As Senior Project Manager, Ryan Thornburg serves as the Owner’s Project Administrator and is responsible for the management of all aspects of a project on the Owner’s behalf at Project Development Group. Founded in 2007, PDG is a development management services company headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Thornburg has managed development, redevelopment, and construction projects, to include retail shopping centers like Christiansburg Marketplace, Publix at Flowers Plantation, Shoppes of Madison Place, and multi-family apartment complexes—to include Freeman Place, Mallard Pointe, Sutton-Hill, West Ashley, Highway 29, and Wakefield.
Thornburg’s responsibilities include managing of the general contractor and designers bidding process, creating scopes of work and overall contracts for the designer and general contractor—including negotiation of terms of the contracts—overseeing the design and permit process, developing master schedules, managing updates from designers and general contractors, monitoring schedules for any delays, assessing liquidated damages, value engineering the project to align with budgets and/or schedules, and managing overall construction for quality.
